What is a Station Access (formerly known as SOE All Access) subscription?

It is an account subscription option offered to customers who want to subscribe to more than one of the SOE games listed above.  Customers can still elect to subscribe to an individual game (or group of games)  and pay individual game subscription rates.

What is included in a Station Access subscription?

Station Access grants players access to EverQuest®, Pirates of the Burning Sea™, PlanetSide®, EverQuest® Online Adventures™ for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, EverQuest® Macintosh Edition, EverQuest® II, Star Wars Galaxies™ and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes™. Please note that all game software is sold separately.

Station Access also grants players the optional monthly membership to Free Realms™, our family friendly free to play online game.

Full access to these games for the low monthly subscription price of $29.99 (plus applicable sales taxes, if any.) Residents of VAT-applicable European Union countries or territories will also be charged a VAT equal to 17.5% of the applicable fee. It’s easy to upgrade your current game subscription to Station Access – just visit http://station-access.station.sony.com/.

The Station Access subscription includes access to some of the standard features of Station Players™ for EverQuest, EverQuest II  and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes but does not include access to the premium features of the Station Players service. Please visit http://www.stationplayers.com for additional details.

How do I upgrade my current account to Station Access?

To sign up for Station Access, click here to sign in using the same Station ID and password you use for your current or cancelled SOE subscriptions. On the Your Subscriptions page, select one of your current or cancelled subscriptions. Next select the 'Edit Subscription' button. From there you may choose the Station Access billing option.

What about future games?

SOE may, at its discretion, add future content to the Station Access subscription.

What subscription services are NOT included in a Station Access subscription?

The Station Access subscription does not include subscriptions for non-SOE published titles, such as certain versions of EverQuest, EverQuest Online Adventures or PlanetSide published by SOE partners outside of North America or SOE's wireless or handheld games.

Does the Station Access subscription include the games themselves?

No. You must purchase the software at retail or via a digital download and register a valid account key for each game/expansion you wish to play. For example, if you sign an account up for Station Access service but you have only bought EverQuest and PlanetSide, that account will not be able to play EverQuest Online Adventures unless and until you purchase a copy of EverQuest Online Adventures.

What else is NOT included in a Station Access subscription?

A Station Access subscription does not include services for which SOE may from time to time charge (for instance, a name change and/or server transfer service). Additionally, you must provide your own Internet access and all required hardware.

How much will a Station Access subscription cost?

The subscription price is $29.99/month (plus applicable sales taxes, if any). The Station Access subscription fee is a recurring charge (just as current individual game subscription account charges), which means that SOE may charge your credit card each subscription period unless and until you cancel. SOE may change the price at any time in its sole discretion.

In addition to the fees described above, if you are a resident of a country or territory within the European Union, you will also be charged a value-added tax (VAT) equal to 17.5% of the applicable fee.

Are you offering discounted three and six month plans?

No, not at this time, though we may consider offering such plans in the future.

May I use a Global Collect payment option or a GameCard to pay for a Station Access subscription? May I convert an account to Station Access for which I am currently using a GameCard or Global Collect payment option?

No and no. Station Access subscriptions can be paid for with a valid credit card only. Accounts which are currently being paid for in whole or in part with either a GameCard or Global Collect payment option are ineligible for conversion.

Will a Station Access subscription cover multiple accounts?

Each Station Access subscription may only apply to a single account. You must sign up for a Station Access subscription for each account separately.

Am I allowed to play multiple games at the same time (e.g. run PlanetSide on one machine or in one window, EverQuest on another machine or in another window, both on the same account) on the same Station Access account?

No.

My current subscription still has time remaining on it. If I convert that subscription to Station Access, what happens?

SOE will charge you the Station Access subscription rate and will pro-rate any unused time at the new rate. For instance, if you had 56 days remaining on your 6 month EverQuest subscription and you converted that account to Station Access:

  • SOE would charge you $29.99 (plus applicable taxes, if any).
  • The "time" remaining (the 56 days) would be pro-rated at the current Station Access rate.
  • Your first subscription period for the Station Access account would be extended by 28 days (because you have already paid for them).
SOE will not issue any refund for amounts previously paid (including for any unused game time included with purchase of specific game software forfeited by converting your billing option to a Station Access subscription.)

I just bought a game which receives additional character slots as part of the Station Access subscription plan.  What happens to my initial 30 days of gameplay included with the purchase of the game when I subscribe to Station Access in order to gain these additional character slots?

If you are still within the initial 30 days included with the purchase of a game (such as EverQuest II), you will be provided two options when you upgrade to a Station Access subscription.

Option 1 - You may purchase the upgrade now and it will be activated and billed upon the end of your initial 30 days. Your additional character slots will then be available on the 31st day.

Option 2 - Activate now. If you choose to activate your Station Access subscription upon purchasing it, you forfeit whatever remaining time you have left on your initial 30 days of that game, and any other initial gameplay period(s) included with your purchase of any other Station Access subscription game(s). However, your additional character slots do become available.

Suppose I sign up for a single game and choose one of the subscription options for that game. I am having a blast during my initial 30 day period, and want to convert that account to Station Access – what happens?

If you want to convert AFTER you have initially activated the individual game account, you will need to change your billing option by canceling the billing option that you had selected (the cancellation will be effective at the end of the current billing cycle) and then signing up for the Station Access billing option.

Can I transfer a Station Access account?

Station Access accounts are non-transferable.

Must a Station Access account use the same character name for each game?

No. A Station Access account uses one Station Name across all applicable games; however, your character name choices are up to you (subject to applicable character naming policies).

How do I cancel?

We sure hate to lose you, however, if you really want to cancel, simply go to Account Management - Subscriptions Info, and click "Cancel" on the subscription you want to cancel.

What is Station Players?

Station Players is the official online service that connects players to a specific game's community. This web-based suite offers an array of standard and premium features that give players an incredible level of access to their characters and guilds by merging the game world with the World Wide Web. For example, with an EverQuest II subscription, some standard features are included at no additional cost, such as guild websites and dynamic character information pages, while premium features require additional fees. There are five premium features that each cost $0.99 per month, or you can subscribe to a bundle of all five premium features for $2.99 per month. More details are available at www.stationplayers.com

I am a current Station Access subscriber and plan on buying an individual game with gameplay included with purchase. Will I receive the 30 days of gameplay included with my purchase?

No, the 30 days of gameplay included with your purchase of that game is not available for subscribers with a Station Access account.

What happens to my additional character slots for EverQuest, EverQuest II and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes if my Station Access subscription is cancelled or terminated?

You will only have access to your additional character slots while you are an active Station Access subscriber. If you cancel your Station Access subscription or it is cancelled or terminated, but you continue with your individual game subscription, you will only retain access to the standard number of characters for that game.

If I have access to the EverQuest II Bloodline Chronicles Adventure Pack, EverQuest II Splitpaw Saga Adventure Pack, EverQuest II The Fallen Dynasty Adventure Pack from my Station Access subscription and I end my Station Access subscription, do I lose access to the Adventure Pack(s) content?

Yes. You would have to purchase the Adventure Pack(s) separately if you cancel your Station Access subscription.
